'Dr. Martin Luther' King - the truth behind the man

(To be fair, I found this on the Internet, and www.snopes.com "claims" that only some of this is true, and that some details haven't been proven conclusively. Not that they are the ultimate authority.)

Five Things you didn't know about 'Dr. Martin Luther' King:

1. His name wasn't Martin Luther. It was Michael. It was decided 'Martin Luther' had a more prominent ring to it, so he went by that. He never legally changed his name. To this day, he lived and died as Michael King.

2. While working on his dissertation for his doctoral degree at Boston University, Michael King heavily plagiarized from another author who had done research on a subject similar to King's. An academic committee later found that over half of King's work was plagiarized, yet would not revoke his doctrine. King was dead by this time, and the committee ruled that revoking the title would serve no purpose. It was also discovered that King's famous "I Have A Dream" speech was also not his own. He stole it from a sermon by Archibald Carey, a popular black preacher in the 1950's.

3. King was under FBI surveillance for several years (until he died) due to his ties with communist organizations throughout the country. King accepted money from the organizations to fund his movements. In return, King had to appoint communist leaders to run certain districts of his SCLC (Southern Christian Leadership Conference), who then could project their communist ideas to larger audiences. A federal judge in the 60's ruled that the FBI files on King's links to communism to remain top-secret until 2027. Senator Jesse Helms appealed to the Supreme Court in 1983 to release the files, so the current bill in the Senate to create the Martin Luther King Federal Holiday could be abolished. He was denied.

4. One of King's closest friends, Rev. Ralph Abernathy, wrote a book in 1989 in which he talked about King's obsession with white prostitutes. King would often use church donations to have drunken sex parties, where he would hire two to three white prostitutes, occasionally beating them brutally. This has also been reported by the FBI agents who monitored King. King was married with four children.
Martin Luther King" holiday…….A day when this country came to a screeching halt so we can have parades and memorials to honor this man, a man that most of the world views as a saint for his role in the civil rights movement.
No other public holiday in the United States honors a single individual. Of all the great leaders in our Nation's history - none of them have their own holiday. All of our great war heroes share Memorial Day. All of our great presidents share President's Day. Yet King - a man who was a phony, a cheater, a traitor, and a sexual degenerate - gets a day of his own.
No one is trying to take anything away from African Americans, but trying to point out that (1) the vast majority of people are sorely mistaken about Michael King, and (2) that reverse discrimination is blatantly obvious everywhere you look today. Been watching the news lately? President Bush just got himself in some hot water when he spoke out against the University of Michigan for giving black applicants precedence over more qualified white applicants. Now Jesse Jackson, the NAACP, and other black leaders are trashing him, without a doubt planning how they can use this against his re-election campaign. Think about that - Bush just made a stand for equal human rights, but low and behold - in this case they don't want to be treated as equals. Make up your own mind.

5. Michael King was a Republican: It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S's: Slavery, Secession, Segregation and now Socialism.It was the Democrats who fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws. The Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize blacks. The Democrats fought to prevent the passage of every civil rights law beginning with the civil rights laws of the 1860's, and continuing with the civil rights laws of the 1950's and 1960's.During the civil rights era of the 1960's, Dr. King was fighting the Democrats who stood in the school house doors, turned skin-burning fire hoses on blacks and let loose vicious dogs. It was Republican President Dwight Eisenhower who pushed to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and sent troops to Arkansas to desegregate schools. President Eisenhower also appointed Chief Justice Earl Warren to the U.S. Supreme Court which resulted in the 1954 Brown vs. Board of Education decision ending school segregation. Much is made of Democrat President Harry Truman's issuing an Executive Order in 1948 to desegregate the military. Not mentioned is the fact that it was President Eisenhower who actually took action to effectively end segregation in the military.Democrat President John F. Kennedy is lauded as a proponent of civil rights. However, Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil rights Act while he was a senator, as did Democrat Senator Al Gore, Sr. And after he became president, John F. Kennedy was opposed to the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King that was organized by A. Phillip Randolph who was a black Republican. President Kennedy, through his brother Attorney General Robert Kennedy, had Dr. King wiretapped and investigated by the FBI on suspicion of being a Communist in order to undermine Dr. King.In March of 1968, while referring to Dr. King's leaving Memphis, Tennessee after riots broke out where a teenager was killed, Democrat Senator Robert Byrd, a former member of the Ku Klux Klan, called Dr. King a "trouble-maker" who starts trouble, but runs like a coward after trouble is ignited. A few weeks later, Dr. King returned to Memphis and was assassinated on April 4, 1968.

Michael Jackson is a child-molester!

Am I the only one who thinks M.J. is child-molesting freak, whose 'hay-day' was over 25 yrs ago? All his antics during his trial really turned my stomach. I can't help but think 'his' kids finally have a chance at turning-out normal by not being trapped in MJ's weird world. I'm SO NOT impressed with him. His clown face and amusement park ranch was nothing short of a Hansel & re-Gretal style 'venus fly trap' for kids!

All these tributes are nausiating. All the Hollywood-types, and music industry-jerks are 'jockeying' for position to be the "biggest MJ fan". Barf.

Al Gore's 'global warming' bunk

Publicists at the United Nations, Mr. Al Gore, and their supporters frequently claim that only a few “skeptics” remain – skeptics who are still unconvinced about the existence of a catastrophic human-caused global warming emergency.

It is evident that 31,478 Americans with university degrees in science – including 9,029 PhDs, are not "a few." Moreover, from the clear and strong petition statement that they have signed, it is evident that these 31,478 American scientists are not “skeptics.”

Al Gore is a politician, NOT a scientist…Many real scientists/climatologists completely disagree with Al Gore and his “global warming” ‘bunk’.

Since Ozone-Al couldn’t be the leader of the free world, he invented a new ‘world of fear’ to be the ‘leader’ of…Even his own home state of Tennessee voted against him for president in 2000….The people who know him best don’t even trust him.

Jamie Foxx is a racist!

This week, Jamie Foxx, who has his own radio show, called Mylee Cyrus (spelling?) aka: Hanna Montana, a "White Bitch". He later appologized on the Jay Leno show.

I'm reminded of Don Imus, who USED TO have his own radio show, after referring to a female college basketball team (the name escapes me now), as "Nappy-Headed Ho's". He later appologized, but was fired anyway. (Obviously, a terrible thing to say, even if joking.) The Rev. Al Sharpton spear-headed the protest to get Imus fired.

Anyone wanna take bets that there will be little, if any, public outcry about Foxx's blatant racial slur????? Where is Rev. Al Sharpton?...I thought he 'stood guard' against ALL racism. Is racism toward the white community acceptable??!!...If so, then Sharpton is also a racist.

If Foxx does not get fired, like Imus, then this will be nothing short of a double standard, and racism due to unequal treatment, at the very least.

"Intelligent Design" & "Creation Science" = bunk

"Intelligent Design", a.k.a. "Creation Science" is neither intelligent or science. They are much akin to astrology and mythology. There is no true evidence to support creationism, and gets is support from the fear and ignorance of the Christian followers. It is really sad and pathetic.

Conversely, there are 'mountains' of evidence to support Natural Selection/evolution, based on the fossil records.

It is laughable to know that many Christians below the earth is only 6,000 years old, when science has proven time and time again that the earth an millions of fossils, rocks, plants, etc. are hundreds of thousands to billions of years old.

Any and all respected scientists will tell you that the earth is approximately 4.6 billion years old, and the universe is approximately 15 billion years old.
